I just subscribed! When will I receive my first issue? 

New orders are added to our mailing list on Tuesdays and will be printed and mailed from Paris on Wednesdays and Thursdays. In true snail mail fashion, your paper will take 12-14 business days to arrive depending on where you are in the world! If you’ve subscribed after the 15th of the month, your first issue to arrive will be the following month’s publication (ie order was placed on February 15, the first issue you will receive is March!) 

I’m a monthly subscriber, when should I expect my issue to arrive each month? 

Monthly issues are typically mailed out on the third Thursday of each month. For example, the February issue was mailed out on January 23rd.  The paper typically takes 1 week to arrive throughout Europe, 2 weeks worldwide, and sometimes 3 weeks for those located in remote areas. Generally, most people can expect to receive the paper by mid-month. Snail mail requires a bit of patience, but the surprise is all part of the fun and charm! 

I see my order is still pending, will I receive a shipment notification?

Due to the current capabilities of our website host, we are unable to mark bulk shipments as fulfilled. Know that your paper has been sent out on the days listed above! If you would like proof of shipment, please email carley@theretreatbycarley.com 

Is there tracking information?

The Retreat is sent the old fashioned way and like any typical newspaper subscription, there is no tracking information available. This helps keep costs low! 

Can I update my address? 

If you have moved (congrats!) please reach out to carley@theretreatbycarley.com to update your address. Unfortunately, if you update your address on your account, we will not be notified on our end. 

Can I purchase past issues?

Yes! Past issues are available for purchase on our shop and we highly recommend starting a collection.
